Sailing
is quite possibly the most fun thing in the world. You haven't lived
until you've experienced the sea breeze blowing in your face while
the gentle waves roll beneath your hull.
But having torrential rains whizzing into your face like a sandblaster,
while you crash through swells, struggling to make headway against
the current, is just as much fun.
We live in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. If
your workplace is an office you are probably bombarded by noisy
telephones, printers, fax machines,
etc. There are probably frequent interruptions from your boss, colleagues,
customers, etc. In a non-office environment, maybe even the home,
there are equivalent and/or similar stressors. To get to, and from,
work you most likely had to endure the vagaries of the traffic either
as a driver or passenger.
Water has been associated with stress relief for centuries. Both
the sound and motion of water has been found to be stress relieving.
So, why not start sailing?
